Donna Britton Bukevicz, a music supervisor at Molly Girl Music, has partnered with Ambrosia Music and Sweet Spot Studio to create custom-written songs for a lineup of exciting independent movies set to release in 2024.

If you have dreams of becoming one of the preferred songwriters for Molly Girl Music, we invite you to participate in the highly anticipated Ambrosia Song Sync Studio experience.

The Ambrosia Song Sync Studio experience is an immersive bootcamp that spans 1-3 months. Throughout the program, talented artists, songwriters, and producers will have the opportunity to write one song each month, all under the expert guidance of a dedicated music supervisor. Best of all, the bootcamp will be conducted online via Zoom, making it convenient for participants from all around the world.

Every month, participants will be assigned to new writing teams, fostering a dynamic and collaborative environment where fresh ideas thrive.

In addition, we offer the flexibility for you to bring your own producer. Producers attend for free, but they must apply with a $20 fee. This allows you to work side by side with your preferred producer, creating a seamless synergy that enhances the creative process. Furthermore, if there is a particular writer in the program whom you wish to collaborate with, you can specifically choose them as your partner.

Please note that due to limited capacity, we can only accommodate one producer for every three songwriters. Producers will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to approval. Be sure to submit your application promptly to secure your spot.

By joining our program, you will gain access to a multitude of advantages, including:

1. Collaboration with a highly experienced music supervisor, Donna Britton Bukevicz.
2. Writing songs that cater to specific briefs provided by Molly Girl Music and the independent movies.
3. Expanding your network of talented collaborators, opening doors to exciting future projects.

How It Works

Meet On Zoom:
Join us every session on Zoom from 5:30-7:00pm CST / 6:30-8:00pm EST / 3:30-5pm PST for the co-writing sessions.

The Co-writing Session:
You will be assigned to co-writing teams consisting of an artist (singer), songwriter, and track writer/producer.

The Brief:
Each team will receive their own unique brief from the music supervisor. Take the opportunity to ask any questions and clarify the requirements before you start writing.

The Drop In:
During the writing session, the music supervisor will drop into your room to provide valuable feedback on your song-in-progress. This feedback will guide you in the right direction or help you identify areas that may need improvement.

The Listening Party:
At the end of the writing session, all teams will reconvene in the main session to play their song-in-progress. The music supervisor will provide further feedback and suggestions to help refine your work.

After The Meeting:
Two weeks after the writing session, there will be a group meeting online to review the songs. You will have a total of four weeks to incorporate the feedback, fully produce the song, and submit the final track.

If your song is approved by the music supervisor, it will be signed to a licensing deal. The commission will be based on each individual Master (SR) Use Fee. There is also the possibility that your song may be selected for multiple films, increasing your earning potential.

Requirements:

Skills & Experience:
Artists (singers) must have the ability to professionally record vocals unless they are physically in the same room as the producer. Track writers and producers should be able to start tracking the song during the co-writing session and produce a professional recording.

A Dedicated Interest in Learning the Process of Songwriting for Film:
This program is designed for individuals who are eager to understand and excel in the art of songwriting for film. Take advantage of the opportunity to learn from industry professionals and grow your skills.

Ownership:

Composition Ownership (C):
Students participating in the program do not own any writer or publisher share. However, there is an opportunity to earn income from any sync licensing fee offered by a music supervisor. The share will not exceed 50% of the net received by Ambrosia Music, LLC.

Master Recording Ownership - SR (P):
The track writer/producer will own the recording. However, writers can potentially earn ownership of the master by singing the lead or financially contributing to the recording.

Join the Songwriter Workshop - Script-to-Film Collaboration between Ambrosia Music and Molly Girl Music and take your songwriting career to new heights. Sign up today and embrace the opportunities that await you in the realm of music for film.

 FAQ

Q: What if I have no experience writing songs for TV/film?

A: Not to worry! The Song Sync Studio experience is designed as a learning opportunity. It is likely that your co-writers have some experience, and if you feel you need extra support, the music supervisor has offered to co-write with any team seeking additional assistance. Check out all the details on the application.

Q: When will we receive the briefs?

A: You can expect to receive the briefs on the day of the writing session, preferably by midday or even earlier if possible.

Q: What is orientation about?

A: Orientation allows you to meet the writers, learn what to expect at the writing sessions, and how to share your screen and sound on Zoom.

Q: What happens if we are unable to finish the song by the end of the writing session?

A: If you don't finish the song during the writing session, you can meet off-line to complete it.

Q: Who will be my co-writers?

A: Before each writing session, you will receive your team assignments and contact information.

Q: Can I write with specific people?

A: Yes, the application form allows you to request specific participating writers for your team.

Q: Why does the program allow me to bring my own team?

A: While we carefully screen all participants and believe they are talented writers, sometimes personalities don't always click. That's why we encourage you to invite your trusted co-writers to the program. Producers attend for free but must apply ($20).

Q: Can I co-write in person?

A: Yes, if you live in the same town, co-writing in person is possible. It can be especially helpful if the singer and track-writer/producer are in the same room, making it easier to record the vocals on the night of the co-writing session.

Q: I'm considering applying to the Sync Challenge, but I can't attend one of the writing sessions. What should I do?

A: We can consider accommodating the situation on a limited basis. If you need assistance, please make a note of it in your application, and we'll do our best to help. Please note that there are 30 people in this program, so we kindly request that you only seek assistance after trying to reschedule your other appointment.

Q: What should I do if I am unable to attend the Listening Party or other meetings (not a writing session)?

A: Don't worry! We will email you with a video of the meeting, so you can watch it at your convenience.

Q: Is it possible to participate in a writing session while traveling in my car?

A: Unfortunately, participants are not permitted to join a writing session while traveling in their car. However, for all other types of meetings during the Song Sync Studio experience, it is acceptable to join while in your car, although you will be muted to prevent any disruptions to the meeting.

Q. What happens if a music supervisor wants to use the song created in this program for an upcoming movie/tv project?

Congrats! The sync agent will send a non-exclusive agreement to review and sign and will help fill out all of the paperwork needed to "One Stop" licensing.

Who is the Sync Agent?

Donna Britton Bukevicz will be working these songs along with other possible third-party sync agents with proven track records (Hallmark, Sony Pictures, Animal Planet, Entertainment Tonight, Netflix, HBO, CW Network, MTV, Access Hollywood and more....much more!).

Who will own the master recording?

If you pay for the recording, you own the master recording.  However, Ambrosia Music, LLC will "control" the Masters in order to secure licensing deals on everybody's behalf.

What added costs may be needed for the master recording?

Potential expenses include professional vocalists/singers to get the right "voice" on the song, additional instrumental tracks, mixing and mastering from outside producers.

What if I don't have money for the master recording expenses?

No problem. You can refrain from contributing to the recording and will not own any portion of the recording.

Are there any scholarships?

Sorry, no.

DISCLAIMER:  By signing up for this program as a student writer, artist or track producer, you understand and accept that you will not own any writer’s or publisher’s share of any song written with the professional songwriter.  Again, please remember that YOU WILL participate in licensing income—   Let’s go get this!  We are excited to have you on this musical journey with us.

Miscellaneous.

Limitation of Liability.

To the fullest extent allowable by applicable law, Company, and its affiliates, shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential, exemplary, extra-contractual, or punitive damages of any kind whatsoever, including, without limitation, lost revenues or lost profits, which are in any way related to use of the Service, Content, or other materials available through the Service, regardless of legal theory (including, without limitation, contract, tort, personal injury, property damage, negligence, warranty, or strict liability), whether or not Company, or its affiliates, have been advised of the possibility or probability of such damages, and even if the remedies otherwise available fail of their essential purposes. Some states do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to You.

Company and its affiliates will not be liable to You in connection with these Terms or Your use of the Site or the Service for any amount that exceeds the lesser of: i) the total fees paid or payable by You to Company for provision of the Service during the applicable subscription period, or ii) $1,000.00 U.S. currency.

The above limitations of liability do not apply to liability for death, personal injury, fraud, gross negligence or intentional misconduct, or in cases of negligence where a material obligation has been breached. For purposes of these Terms, “material obligation” shall mean any obligation which forms a prerequisite to Company’s delivery of the Service and on which You may reasonably rely, but only to the extent that the damages were directly caused by the breach and were foreseeable.

The limitations of liability in this section are part of the basis of the bargain between You and Company and shall apply to all claims of liability even if Company or its affiliates have been told of the possibility of such damage and even if these remedies fail their essential purpose.

Indemnification.

This indemnification obligation shall survive these Terms and Your use of the Service. Company reserves the right to take over the exclusive defense of Claims for which Company is entitled to indemnification, and in such an event, You shall provide reasonable cooperation to Company.

Force Majeure.

You understand and agree that Company is not liable for any failure of service due to any cause beyond its control, including, without limitation, acts of God, fire, explosion, vandalism, terrorism, weather disturbances, national emergencies, riots, wars, labor difficulties, supplier failures, shortages, breaches, action or request by any government, suspension of existing service in compliance with state or federal law, rule, or regulations.

Entire Agreement.

The Terms, which are inclusive of the Code of Conduct, represents the entire understanding between Company and You, superseding all prior agreements (including previous versions of the Terms), whether oral or written, with respect to Your use of the Service, Content, and all other subject matter contained herein. The Terms shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of Company and Your respective assigns, successors, heirs, and legal representatives, including, without limitation, any third-party that acquires all or part of Company. The Terms cannot be modified or amended, except as expressly provided for herein. The Terms are personal to You and are not assignable, transferable, or sub-licensable by You except with Company’s prior written consent. Company may freely assign the Terms. If any part of the Terms is deemed by a court of law to be void, voidable, illegal, or unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms will remain in full effect as if such void, voidable, illegal, or unenforceable part had not existed. The waiver by either party hereto of a breach of any of the provisions of the Terms by the other party hereto shall not be construed as a waiver by the non-breaching party of any subsequent breach by the breaching party. Headings are inserted for convenience only and are not intended to be part of or to affect the meaning or interpretation of the Terms. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination or expiration, shall survive termination or expiration.

All rights and remedies are cumulative and shall in no way affect any remedy available to either party under equity or law. You agree that any violation or breach of the Terms by You will result in irreparable harm to Company, that monetary damages will be inadequate, and You hereby agreed Company shall be entitled to seek injunctive relief.
